Artist / Musician Joan Levy Hepburn is now exhibiting her paintings and drawings at 19 Bella, 3401 Skippack Pike, Cedars, Pennsylvania through January 2020.  There will be a reception to meet the artist on Nov. 2, 2019 at 4:00, followed by a free concert at 7:30 with Joe Bouchard.

Chef Grant Brown and Joan Levy Hepburn are friends from their high school years at Buxton School in Williamstown, Massachusetts.  Grant’s lifetime passion for food and Joan’s dedication to art and music have culminated at a crossroad at 19 Bella with an exhibition of paintings and drawings called “A Lifetime of Landscape”

Joan’s art and music was influenced by two great personal mentors, Willem de Kooning and Dave Van Ronk, who taught her concurrently for 25 years.  Her expressive use of color was developed through a dialogue between painting and music.  Joan’s work is in museum and private collections worldwide.  She also teaches and lectures at universities and museums about the crossover disciplines of visual art and music, and presents talks about de Kooning.

Since 2010 she has been performing in concerts with Joe Bouchard. In 2016 they formed a trio with Joe’s brother, Albert Bouchard, called “The Bouchard Brothers” – both original founding members of Blue Oyster Cult.  The band is known for their hit song of the 70’s “Don’t Fear the Reaper”, which was reintroduced to the next generations by a Saturday Night Live skit about “More Cowbell”.  The Bouchard Brothers perform a show of “Songs and Stories” of their lives in music.  Come meet Joan and Joe at 19 Bella at 4:00 pm and then  enjoy
the FREE CONCERT at 7:30 on Nov. 2, 2019.
